The Anthony Siciliano Family is proud to have sponsored a room on the new veterans’ floor at Concord Senior Living in Northlake, Illinois. Earlier this year, The Walter and Connie Payton Foundation and Kendall County Salute to Veterans entered into a partnership with Concord Place Assisted Senior Living Community. Through this collaboration, the 15th floor of Concord was dedicated to housing veterans in private suites. Twelve of these 35 apartments have been furnished for the new residents; sponsored by local businesses and individual donors. Anthony Siciliano is the president/founder of ALC, which provides home health care services to Concord. His family “adopted” one of the rooms, furnishing it for the veteran who is calling it his new home.
“We are so proud to be part of this initiative,” said Anthony. “Our United States veterans have sacrificed so much for their country, and it’s shocking to me that many of them are in their later years, finding themselves without resources. It is an honor for the Siciliano family to be able to help provide a warm and welcoming home to these men and women who deserve to be treated with respect, dignity and kindness.”
So you’ve been in the hospital recuperating from an illness or injury. You’re eager to return home, and your physician has ordered home health care.
That’s great news! Why? Home health care is less expensive, more convenient and often more effective than the care you’d get if you stayed in the hospital or transferred to a skilled nursing facility. Furthermore, studies show that people recover more quickly in the privacy and familiarity of their own home.
In order to receive home health care, a doctor’s orders are needed. Once you receive these orders, a home health care agency representative will talk with you about your needs and ask you questions about your health.
Our facility, Aurora Supportive Living, has been working with ALC for years. They have been an asset to have in our facility. Our residents receive quality care whether it be with physical therapy or home health nursing care. They are very quick to respond to issues. The nurses are great with communicating with our nursing staff to be able to collaborate quality care.
